Hawthorn Lodge is run by Ursula and Noel Hogan with the help of their two daughters.
The fact that we love Mountshannon and have been in the B & B business for 20 years shows in everything we do.
We are actively involved in our local community and can advise you on events and activities in the area.
Ursula is originally from Donegal and met Noel in Galway through Drama. Noel is involved for a long number of years with the local Sliabh Aughty Drama Group who perform One Act & Three Act Plays annually.
Ursula is actively involved in Scariff Bay Community Radio, producing & presenting the weekly news programme. She is involved in the East Clare Musical Society and the Sliabh Aughty Drama Group.
Our daughter Fiona has also followed in our footsteps and has been in many musicals & even a short film “Route 208” that was filmed in Cork city and a music video “Jenny” by Hermitage Green.
As keen walkers we know the local terrain well and can give you maps and guidance. Noel is also involved in Farming & Auctioneering and as he is from Mountshannon he has a vast knowledge of the area and it’s people.
He loves tracing his roots and has often had people turn up on the doorstep that insist he is their “long lost cousin” – fun times!
We pride ourselves on giving first class comfort and service in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.
